Sonic Mania follows the visual style of those very Sega games that have become part of the gaming industry´s golden legacy. More than 25 years have passed since the release of the first part and the new platformer became an anniversary for the franchise.

Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are ready to fight Dr. Eggman and his robots again. After discovering the Ruby of Illusions, the friends lose the trophy from their clutches and must now prevent the world catastrophe that their main villain is planning. In pursuit of the elusive Eggman, Sonic will rush not only through familiar locations and legendary levels, but will also find himself in hitherto unknown places, through which he will be helped by Knuckles the Echidna, who has finally forgotten old grievances.
