Snake Pass is full of retro atmosphere. The main characters - a snake and a bird with the funny names Noodle and Doodle - are trying to save the paradise from a terrible threat by collecting coins, soap bubbles, magic crystals and opening portals between levels.

An uncomplicated story and a simple concept are successfully combined with new technologies, getting all the advantages of Unreal Engine 4. Using physics and the environment involves solving simple puzzles, where a noodle snake slowly crawls to the desired crystal or bubble, wrapping around the planks, or sharply plans for the desired ledge with blocks of stone. The hyperactive bird provides support to its leisurely friend by taking the collected crystals and installing them on special pedestals.

The creators of the game decided to take the path of simplifying the structure of locations as much as possible and instead of creating a full-fledged world with many passages and secret places (as was the case in the cult adventure games on Nintendo 64), they offer a series of linear levels.
As new episodes open, more and more sophisticated obstacles appear. The plates begin to rotate, you need to activate the levers and winches, avoid lava, dangerous gusts of wind and deadly spikes. Locations become longer, tasks are more complicated, but with sufficient skill they do not take so much time to solve.

In total, the game has 15 levels, divided into four colorful worlds. Upon completion of the stage, the section can be passed at a speed for the sake of rating in the international table of records, which is a so-so proposal, given the focus of the game process on leisurely research and collecting items.
Graphics is one of the main advantages of Snake Pass. The detail-rich environment with flying beetles, sparkling fish scales in the water and the gentle wind that sways the grass looks really amazing.

Musical themes from Donkey Kong composer David Wise, with marimba overflows, drums and light flute notes create the desired playing rhythm and meditative atmosphere.
